Henry Jock Walker is a big ‘ol stick of creative dynamite. I have had the pleasure of mentoring him over the last couple of years, particularly during his year-long driving, surfing and art making trip around Australia. During this time he has been making furiously, meeting lots of people and contemplating the meaning of creative life. This has been leading up to a presentation of his work at Melbourne’s West Space gallery as a component of the Next Wave festival.
