A Hole in the Fence

This solo exhibition brings together a number of works completed over the last year or so. The collated works continue an investigation into suburbia, laneways and the creativity and transgressions found in these places. A hole in a fence, a dead palm tree, lonely initials scratched into a bench all offer a reflection on a place and its personal imperfections. We might also expand these simple vignettes to become larger metaphors for suburban social politics. Also included in this exhibition are explorations that focus on the bicycle as a possible site or instigator for creativity, especially when considered in their urban ubiquity.
