AGSA CONTEMPORARY COLLECTORS
RED HAND PRINTS
OCTOBER 2012
I have just spent a week in Darwin working with Franck Gohier at Red Hand Prints to produce a limited edition screen print.
The image references a bunch of work that I have been making about public scrawl unique to the Top End, combining this with a lovely ocean sunset as viewed through the mesh of a chainlink fence, common to the Darwin area. The prints feature one layer of text and image that is unique to each.
The work has been commissioned by the Art Gallery of South Australia’s Contemporary Collectors group and will form part of their annual fundraiser event late in November. The print is a limited edition of 30, available exclusively to members of the Contemporary Collectors group.
I am currently working on another print that I hope to make available in the near future.
