I am off to Brisbane this week to attend the launch of the University of Queensland’s National Artists’ Self Portrait Prize. It is a biannual invitational prize and one artist will be walking away with $50, 000 for their contribution. This year’s subtitle is remix. post. connect. and takes it’s cues from the plethora of social media imagery and how we use these as components of our identity building. It will be judged by Blair French. I will be speaking as part of a panel discussion on Saturday the 19th of Oct.
