Stencil Workshop as part of ACSA Summer School 2017 from James Dodd on Vimeo.
Adelaide Central School of Art hosts a number of workshops throughout the year, specifically targeted at inviting high school students to undertake projects at the school’s Glenside campus. We believe that this is a great way to nurture creative potential and to give further insight into what happens at a tertiary level creative school. As part of a broader program including other drawing and sculpture workshops a gave an introduction to basic stencil techniques and their use in creating texture and pattern. I built this into a larger context of working in teams to create fantastic creatures which could become large scale and dynamic.
