As part of the Museum’s public programs I presented the Painting Mill project during a school holiday period. I included v3.5 of the machine and ran a series of demos with this. I also further developed my demonstration version (PMV4D) which was available for kids to experiment with. The variant of the machine is a bit smaller and I developed some holders to be able to use Posca paint pens. We used these to draw on clear adhesive vinyl which was then cut up – part of it going home with kids and part of it being stuck up on the large windows at the front of the building. The project was a resounding success with 100’s of kids lining up and working with the machine each day.
