This is the third significant variation of the Painting Mill project. It was a great pleasure to be part of the Wonderwalls festival and to be able to connect with such a large and diverse audience. Similarly, it was great to pursue a mural – like outcome and work at a larger scale in a similar context to other large paintings occurring during the festival.
In many ways this was a bit of a test run for the new variants, though maybe I find myself always testing things when I present the Painting Mill.
I will be pursuing a few more tweaks in the next couple of months before the work is included in a group exhibition, titled Dream Machines, at Hazelhurst Regional Gallery.
